Why are you doing a product drop?

We do a product drop for two reasons.

Firstly, we want to make the best plant-based steaks ever and we need your feedback to do so. We have been selling our products in restaurants successfully for some time but learned that nothing is as valuable as direct feedback from consumers like you. With every product drop our products become more delectable!

Secondly, we want to share the excitement. Every day people reach out to us asking when they can try our ribeyes. People have been happy that they can now try our products at home and if you're happy, we're happy!

What is so special about Offbeast plant-based ribeyes?

We believe that we have the most realistic steak texture in the market.

Replicating the texture of real meat is incredibly complex, but it's also very important. A lack of good textures for plant-based products is known to be one of the main reasons why carnivores stick to their meats. We - a small team of vegans that met at Harvard University - found a simple yet very natural way of creating an authentic texture: using all-natural plant fibers to replicate muscle fibers.

In recent product drops, our texture received a feedback score of 9.5/10. Some people tell us that we nailed the hardest part but still need to finetune our flavoring a bit. This is where your feedback comes in!

Where and how often are your products made?

Our products are made every week in a small facility in Baltimore, Maryland. We ship weekly to customers that can be reached in 1-3 days shipping.

I have allergies! Can I eat your products?

Our vegan ribeyes contains soy and wheat. It is manufactured in a facility which processes milk, eggs, finfish, shellfish, sesame, tree nuts, and peanuts.

What's the shelf life?

Our plant-based ribeyes keep in the freezer for at least 6 months. Refrigerated they last for 1 week.

When will be my product shipped?

We will ship your products on the following days:

East Coast*: November 5th

West Coast**: November 12th

Because they're shipped frozen it's important that someone is available to receive the package and to store the products in the freeze

Why do you charge for shipping?

Shipping frozen food is extremely expensive due to the costs of insulation materials and ice packs. The shipping costs for one package can be $35 or more and we are happy to absorb most of these costs. At the same time, we work hard on reducing the costs of frozen shipment further.

How do I prepare the ribeyes?

If it's your first time, we recommend searing them. This is the easiest and most reliable method. They need to be seared for about 8 minutes to an internal temperature of 150F.

If you've had Offbeast before and know what degree of doneness you like, feel free to experiment! You can grill, reverse sear or sous vide them just like a real ribeye.
