Total cooking time: 4-5 minutes (quick, hot searing)
The filets are sous vided

  1. Thaw
    Thaw in the fridge overnight (preferred) or thaw in cold running water for ~1 hour.

  2. Season and Preheat Medium-Low
    Season the filets with salt and pepper.
    Preheat oil in a pan on medium-high to high heat.

  3. Cook for 4-5 Minutes
    Cook the filets for 4-5 minutes on medium-high to high heat, flipping occasionally
    The filets should have a nice dark sear after this

  4. Rest and Finish
    Remove from heat and let the filet  rest for 2-3 minutes.
    Add more salt, pepper, and plant-based steak butter.
